Market News
Hello!
Winter comes on little cat feet (maybe it was fog), but whichever, winter seems to have arrived. I will be glad when it moves on. The summer veggies are gone although there are lots of peppers available this week. They’re pretty easy to freeze. In the exciting news category, we have fresh ginger and fresh turmeric from Bountiful Blessings Farm. Bloomy Rind has quite an array of cheese; the grilling cheese seems particularly enticing.
For the upcoming holidays, TruBee Honey has a new item – a Mini Honey Sampler. It consists of three 1.5 oz jars of honey, including their regular raw honey, the whipped honey and the Barrel-Aged Honey.
In the meat category, there is quite the selection of pork, beef, chicken and duck (plus a goose).
Dozen Bakery will have pies and other wonderful items available for your Thanksgiving. You can check out the options at their website: https://www.dozen-nashville.com/thanksgiving-menu-2019
To order you can email them at: holidays@dozen-nashville.com or call them at: (615) 712-8150. Deadline for ordering is the Sunday before Thanksgiving.
Wedge Oak Farm will have a limited number of turkeys available for Thanksgiving. These are locally grown heritage turkeys. You will need to pick them up at their farm in Lebanon or at the Richland Farmers’ Market. You can contact Wedge Oak for size and price at: wedgeoak@gmail.com
Dozen Bakery’s galettes, cookies and breads, eggs, granola, honey, and coffee are all in abundance.
You have until Tuesday night to place your order.
Thanks for your support, and I will see you on Wednesday!
If you need to text me, my number is 615-838-0428.

CLG: Opening Bell: Cheese, Chinese Cabbage, Kale, Beef!
Good afternoon!
This Friday and next Friday pick up will be in the lobby at Saint Peter’s Episcopal church, not in the parish hall where we normally meet. Enter through the courtyard and the lobby will be on your left side.
We are pleased to have products again from Saint Joseph Urban Farm. Take a look at their excellent products.
Also back with us this week, cheese! All varieties of cheeses from White River Creamery are listed under the dairy tab. You’ll have to be fast to order some as they usually sell out quickly.
Remember to feed our feathered friends during the colder months when fewer bugs are available. We will try to have suet cakes for birds on the extra table every Friday for only $1.
Garlic plants are now available. This garlic won a blue ribbon and best of show at the county fair this year and two years ago. Only $1 per sprouted plant in a 2-inch pot. Transplant them into a sunny spot in your garden now. Will be ready to dig in early June. Figure 6 to 8 garlic plants per person in your family.
We’ve been having a lot of excellent items on the extra table lately. Earlier shoppers get the best selection. We are normally ready for customers to start arriving around 3 PM if you happen to be out and in the area. Just text me to see if we’re ready.
Be sure to SEARCH for your favorite items using the search field. Four instance, type in the word “sale” and see what pops up. We have almost 400 items available now!
Most items are listed by 6pm Sunday, but check back again before the market closes Tuesday night to see if any other items are ready to be harvested for you! Eat fresh! Eat local! Eat for better health!
And save your eggshells throughout the week for the laying hens! :-)
The market is now OPEN for orders. Click here to start shopping:

Please check your email a few minutes after you place your order to make sure you get an order confirmation. Thanks!

Hi Friends,
Ordering is enabled for pick ups on Wednesday the 6th. Please note our new pick-up hours – 5 PM to 7 PM.
We are also adding a special this week on 1/2 bushel quantities of our Red Lasoda Potatoes. A 20 lb. box is only $20. That is a 33% savings over our single item price and they won’t last long.
As a reminder, I need your orders before 9 AM on Tuesday to assure their full fillment.
Blessings,

Champaign, OH: Welcome Indian Creek Creamery!!
Please help me in extending a huge welcome to our new milk producers…
Indian Creek Creamery!!!
Indian Creek Creamery is an extension of our family dairy, opened in 1991 in rural Logan County, Ohio. Dairy farming has been our lifelong passion, and our 80 cows are like members of our own family – with names and personalities that bring a smile to our faces every day. Cow comfort is of utmost importance to us; our cows always have the option of grazing and lying in the rolling pasture outside the barn or staying inside during inclement weather. Our products are made with a loving touch every step of the way; we hope it’s a love you can taste!
Mission: We have seen and experienced first-hand the health benefits of drinking pure, farm-fresh milk as nature intended, and it is our desire to make it available to the world without extensive processing or chemical additives. Plus, dairy drinkers should know (and taste!) that their milk comes from cows who are cared for and loved. Minimally processed milk is also known to be easier on the digestive system – we’ve even seen many who are lactose-intolerant or sensitive to dairy be able to drink our milk without problems! Our non-homogenized, cream-topped milk is pasteurized using a high-temperature method which heats the milk to 171 degrees for 18 seconds, then quickly cools it to kill bacteria while maintaining that freshness and straight-from-the-cow flavor.
We are excited to offer both their Whole Milk, and their A2/A2 Milk!!
Now…even more reason to get your weekly orders in!!
Champaign, OH: Ramble On Rose
Did you say your name was ramblin’ rose?
Ramble on baby, settle down easy
Ramble on rose…
(Grateful Dead-Ramble On Rose)
So, happy Sunday, and like the name of today’s song pick reflects, this is what I am about to do in today’s weblog.
But, rambling on for good things, fun announcements, and getting a general Sunday groove going…
So, how are we? We have entered into November. That crisp, brisk month right before we say a final farewell to late autumn. We have said good-bye to Halloween fun. We bid our lovely summer months, adieu. And, here we are…
I sort of totally dig this time frame. I love the easing out of summer seasonal menu planning to this autumn seasonal menu planning. Foods become a bit more complex in flavors, a bit more rich in texture, and, a bit heartier.
Because of the seasonal growing, we have now had to say fare the well to our seasonal gardeners such as Queen’s Garden. We will revisit with them, as with all of our seasonal growers, next spring and summer.
But, we still have lettuce producers, year round, with Old Souls! So, no worries on a lettuce goodbye.
We welcome back the amazing duo of JCGrowers!! Back with their dried spice and garlic blends!! Just in time for soups and stews.
We will have micro greens, through the winter with Truck Patch Naturals!
Our pie baker, Ruthie, will be adding more pies to her culinary list of baking!
More soups will be added from your favorite market manager! And, what goes better with soups, than great bread??
We have new jams/chutneys from The Wildflower Patch!!
And, along with the newness, we have all of our year round goodness from our lovely local vendors!!
It’s Sunday, and it’s a great day to get ordering…
I’ve rambled on for long enough…
XOXO,
Cosmic Pam
