Climate summit COP24 in Poland now over; rules for ensuring the Paris Agreement have mostly been settled, but the timeline is stretched out way past the critical period of the next three years. Rules are legally binding but no sanctions or penalties are prescribed.
My latest find on the internet for those wanting to get the full story so you can plan accordingly: DoomisforDummies
Some Al Gore quotes from an recent interview on why he is still optimistic about humanity’s capacity to stabilize climate:
…to repeat myself, my assumption that we will summon the requisite political will to really accelerate these changes is the basis for my optimism.
I refuse to believe, in other words, that we as human beings are somehow destined, by our nature, to destroy ourselves.
We are in dire need of changing common agricultural practices anyway, because we’re depleting topsoils at an unsustainable rate. We can’t continue with this Roundup fiasco.
The two-thirds and more of the American people that have had enough of Donald J. Trump are hearing and seeing him spout climate denial in his own uniquely offensive manner.

Good morning!
This is just a friendly reminder to place your order online for this week. Market ordering will close tonight (Tuesday) at 10 pm. Please don’t forget to order! But if you do forget, give me (Linda) a call Wednesday morning. I will most likely be able to get hold of the farmers and place a late order for you.
Remember to hit that last “submit” button. I really dislike disappointing a customer who comes to market, only to find no order in their name because they didn’t hit the last button. When your order is placed, you will receive an email confirmation. If for any reason you fail to receive this confirmation, please contact Linda as soon as you realize it’s missing.
Also please go to our Facebook page and like, comment, and share this week’s post. Facebook isn’t allowing me to post on multiple sites, or sometimes post multiple photos. So please help us spread the word. Surveys indicate that word of mouth is the most effective form of advertisement. Please help us advertise our fantastic growing market!
See you on Thursday!
Blessings,
Michael & Linda
Siloam Springs, AR: Update: Produce inventory updated

We are excited to announce that a new farmer is joining our market family! Sam and Anita Andrews, owners of Raised Rite Poultry, will begin selling their free range, Non-GMO fed poultry products on our online market beginning this week. Sam has a degree in Poultry Science and has been working in the industry for years. We enjoyed a visit to his farm last week. They have whole birds, chicken frames, and all the cuts – breasts, tenders, legs, wings, and thighs. As the name suggests, they are raising these birds well!
David Mitchell, of Dos Locos Farms, does have some R Family Farm chicken still available online. He has gone the extra mile to make sure our customers have had access to quality poultry while continuing to raise his goat, lamb, and pork, and also partner with another farmer to continue to offer grass fed beef to our customers while he is developing his own beef program. We are so thankful to have his family as part of our market family as well. There are only 3 packages of chicken breast and 8 whole birds left in his inventory from R
Family Farm. We are so blessed to be able to offer such great locally grown meats to our community even during times of transition. We are proud that R Family Farm got their start at our market aandnd grew to the point they needed larger markets and we are proud to bring the Andrews family into our market. I cooked one of their whole birds for dinner yesterday and it was really good. Then I made broth out of the bones and it gelled up beautifully.
Have a great week, wrap up your holiday shopping, order your favorite market products for pick up on Saturday and then take time to enjoy your family.
See you Saturday!
