Good evening!
The market opened for ordering early this morning, as usual, even though I didn’t send this message then. Please remember to check for new items in all the categories. I haven’t checked through to see what’s new, but I will try to send out a real newsletter later tonight. Feel free to place your order and then add a second order if you see something else that you like in the newsletter.
Blessings,
Linda & Michael

Market News
Hello!
50 quarts of blueberries have burst upon the scene from Blue Honey Farm. There’s a fair chance of more becoming available, so if they have sold out, let me know and I’ll put you on the list. Normally blueberries are available from us for 5-7 weeks. Blackberries are delayed, but should be coming soon.
We have plenty of green beans, zephyr squash and potatoes this week. Bear Creek has hamburger patties and 35 Day Dry Aged Filet of Sirloin. Spring Chicken (Poussin) is an option from Wedge Oak Farms. Burrata and other cheeses are available from the Bloomy Rind.
The Peach Truck has the first of the freestone peaches this week. They will be set up next to us throughout the peach season.
Dozen Bakery cookies and breads, eggs, granola, honey, and coffee are in abundance.
Hemp Honey and Sorghum are available under Honey.
You have until Tuesday night to place your order.
Thanks for your support, and I will see you on Wednesday!
If you need to text me, my number is 615-838-0428.

Recipes
Pan-Steamed Kale with Raisins and Almonds
1 cup chicken broth
3 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil, divided
1 1/4 lbs. kale, stemmed and cut into 2-inch pieces (14 cups)
1/4 cup golden raisins
1/4 teaspoon garam masala
1 teaspoon lemon juice, plus extra for seasoning
2 tablespoons slivered almonds, toasted
Vegetable broth can be substituted for the chicken broth and regular raisins can be substituted for the golden raisins, if desired.
1. Bring broth and 2 tablespoons oil to boil in Dutch oven over high heat. Add kale and raisins, cover, and reduce heat to medium-high. Cook until kale is tender with some resilience, about 7 minutes, stirring halfway through cooking. While kale cooks, combine garam masala and remaining 1 tablespoon oil in small bowl.
2. Uncover, increase heat to high, and cook, stirring frequently, until liquid has evaporated and kale starts to sizzle, 2 to 3 minutes. Push kale to 1 side of pot, add garam masala mixture to empty side, and cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds. Stir garam masala mixture into kale. Off heat, stir in lemon juice. Season with salt and extra lemon juice to taste. Sprinkle with almonds and serve.

CLG: Potatoes! Opening Bell: Flowers, Honey, Squash, Green Beans!
Good afternoon!
With temperatures so mild, there is still time to plant some beautiful rose of Sharon bushes in your yard, or along your fence. These carefree shrubs will give you decades of beautiful flowers.
On Friday, we had three tables filled with wholesome produce from local gardens. Our growers are very busy maintaining their fields and bringing us the freshest, most nutritious food around.
Oak grown shiitake mushrooms are looking good from Sweden Creek Farm in Kingston, Arkansas. They are delicious stuffed with cream cheese and shredded cheddar, and baked for 25 minutes. Or search the Internet for an excellent recipe entitled: sticky shiitake mushrooms.
Cucumbers are in abundance now. Why not try your hand at making dill pickles or bread & butter pickles? Search the Internet for easy refrigerator pickles that don’t require the hot water bath.
Bell Urban Farm has the most awesome fresh flower bouquets available now. Get one for your home or office, and another for a neighbor to brighten their day.
Be sure to SEARCH for your favorite items using the search field. We have over 600 items available now!
Most items are listed by 6pm Sunday, but check back again before the market closes Tuesday night to see if any other items are ready to be harvested for you! Eat fresh! Eat local! Eat for better health!
And save your eggshells throughout the week for the laying hens! :-)
The market is now OPEN for orders. Click here to start shopping:

Stones River Market: Market is OPEN -- Happy Father's Day
The Market is OPEN for another great week of local, fresh and delicious products from our Growers. Happy Father’s Day hope the day is filled with making special memories and reminiscing of those that are missed.
News from our Growers:
Trinity Rose: The Oberhasli Dairy Goats Ladies are really working hard and making lots of yummy nutritious milk. Farmer Arden has been busy in the milk kitchen making her award winning goat cheese (Chevre) which is available on the market this morning. Also for a probiotic boost try the kefir.
Spring Meadow Farm: Available this week, Kale, Fresh Garlic Bulb.
Oakview Farm: We have fresh Rainbow Swiss Chard on sale this week, along with Kale mix (Premiere and Curly). This Kale is naturally grown- no pesticides used! We feed our plants with kelp and cottonseed meal to keep them healthy.
Have you ever had a Turkey Egg? Have a few available this week. We continue to have duck eggs for sale from our Mallard, Pekin and Welsh Harlequin ducks. They are great for baking as the whites are much more sturdy than chicken eggs. Duck eggs also have a more ‘eggy’ quality so they are great for frittatas and quiches. We package our products in compostable and reusable containers, too!
CS3 Farms: Our shrub concentrate got some serious attention last week! We have made a few more of each if you saw the sold out notice and were unable to order!
We are also increasing our offerings of herbal honey infusions and have some new offerings this week!
We also have plenty of Pumpkin Seed and Sunflower butter, Herbal Power Balls, and Golden Pecan Bites, our Gourmet Mustards, Hummus, and herbal teas.
RnR Farms: Wonderful year-round soil grown lettuce, 6 choices to choose from. Delicious with any meal.
Flying S Farms: Beets, Cucumbers and Squash are available this week. Rosemary Breads and Rolls are back on the Market by request! Delicious Zucchini Blueberry Bars are available again, always a great snack.
Farrar Farm and Sow’s Pig Eatery: Excellent choices of cuts of meat and pork or sausages, a true crowd pleaser!
Short Mountain Cultures: Fermented foods, bulk items, Krauts, Tempeh wonderful ‘protein’ alternative.
